Qui furono i primi pensatori speculativi, qui filosofia, geometria, dramma, architettura, plastica raggiunsero i primi vertici, che ancora oggi si ammirano.<\/p>\n<p>Li giudichiamo in modo diverso <strong>Cultura egiziana<\/strong>. Molto prima dell&#039;apprezzata cultura greca classica, in Egitto sono stati creati capolavori artistici e architettonici, che spesso non sono sufficientemente apprezzati perch\u00e9 forse corrispondono meno alla nostra estetica, che \u00e8 formata su modelli greci.<\/p>\n<p>Gli stessi antichi egizi sono considerati una razza intellettualmente sottosviluppata di persone che erano oppresse da una casta altezzosa di sacerdoti e faraoni tirannici. Sia l&#039;Antico Testamento della Bibbia che i filelleni del 19\u00b0 secolo coltivarono questo paradosso: arte sofisticata e architettura magnifica e unica in Egitto. Ma un popolo primitivo che adora servilmente un pantheon grottesco di divinit\u00e0 dalla testa di animale e ha quasi una sola preoccupazione: salvare i cadaveri dei defunti dalla decomposizione il pi\u00f9 a lungo possibile imbalsamando e costruendo tombe elaborate in modo che l &#039;&quot;anima&quot; possa vivere in poi. Nelle scienze, in matematica, astronomia o medicina, la conoscenza degli antichi egizi \u00e8 considerata marginale.<br \/>\nNel libro di cui sopra, che non \u00e8 il pi\u00f9 facile da leggere, l&#039;immagine popolare dell&#039;Antico Egitto \u00e8 contrapposta a una nozione completamente diversa, con prove sufficienti per giustificare che venga presa sul serio. Secondo ci\u00f2, gli antichi egizi avevano gi\u00e0 una vasta conoscenza nell&#039;Antico Regno (circa 2660 - 2160 a.C. secondo la consueta datazione), che non si svilupp\u00f2 prima con loro, ma era un retaggio di una civilt\u00e0 avanzata pi\u00f9 antica che era scomparsa, che era comunemente chiamata &quot;Atlantide&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Per arrivare a tali affermazioni, per\u00f2, bisogna lasciare le tracce consunte degli egittologi, i quali essi stessi sanno che ad es. B l&#039;antica cronologia egizia \u00e8 imprecisa. Tuttavia, non sono le idee esoteriche o le affermazioni infondate che portano alle conclusioni rivoluzionarie sull&#039;antico Egitto che l&#039;Occidente rappresenta, che a prima vista sembrano incredibili, ma piuttosto fatti che sono stati elaborati con metodi scientifici.<br \/>\nForse i pi\u00f9 avvincenti sono gli studi sulla Sfinge. Esami geologici inequivocabili mostrano che sia la Sfinge stessa che il tempio di granito accanto alla Sfinge attribuito a Chefren (2520-2494 a.C.) sono decisamente pi\u00f9 antichi di quanto si pensasse in precedenza: furono costruiti non oltre il 5.000 - 7.000 a.C. costruito!<\/p>\n<p>Il libro di John Anthony West, che vale la pena leggere ma anche impegnativo, rappresenta quindi due tesi allarmanti: l&#039;antico Egitto aveva una cultura pi\u00f9 sviluppata, soprattutto scientificamente di gran lunga superiore di quanto si pensasse in precedenza.
